Moser on a Journey through Modern and Historical Table Settings

Karlsbad, 4 January 2024 – Moser, a Czech glassworks with an over 166-year tradition in manual glass production, is starting the new year by participating in a trade event called MILANO HOME (11–14 January 2024). There, an exhibition with the theme of Art of the Table highlights authenticity, originality, quality and innovation. Exhibitors were carefully chosen based on these criteria and put together their exhibits under the expert supervision of Ulderico Lepreri and his team.

In Milan, Moser will present its latest collections designed by the glassworks’ art director, Jan Plecháč, along with its historical heritage. Visitors of the expo will have the opportunity to see, for instance, the aquamarine Abyss vase, which embodies the modern era of Moser and the transformation of its design philosophy, or artworks from the Soul of the Forest collection, inspired by nature and its diverse structures. Alongside these new creations, the glassworks will also present its historical gems. These will include, for instance, the delicately cut Art Nouveau vases Calla and Chrysis with floral motifs or the Maharani drinking set decorated with a precise, Moser-specific cut. These works of art are in demand to this day for their timeless beauty, which is why Moser has been producing them for over a century – all by hand, using
traditional glassmaking techniques, which UNESCO added to its List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2023 to help preserve them for future generations.
