Moser created a gift for Queen Elizabeth II.

In 2022, Queen Elizabeth II. celebrated the platinum jubilee of her reign. Celebrations were held across the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and the world.

A limited edition of 20 engraved decanters was created to celebrate the historic 70 years of Her Majesty's reign. Each decanter is inspired by the Queen's love and knowledge of horses and depicts 5 British horse breeds were owned by the Queen and bred at the Royal Studs. So we looked back at the creation of this unique gift for the Queen, which was created for our partner Asprey.

Bespoke projects are opportunities for Moser to showcase the craftsmanship and talent of the master engravers. This is also the case with the decanter project for our partner Asprey, which was created as a gift to celebrate Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's platinum jubilee.

Master engravers received photos of Queen's horses so they could start working on the unique decanter project. Despite the weight of responsibility that comes when you create a gift for the Queen, they guided the finest strokes of the engraving machines with a firm hand, and a unique work could thus be created.

The front of the decanter features:

Cleveland Bay & foal - a much depleted English breed that HM the Queen championed in the 1960's when numbers were dwindling. They are kept at the Royal Mews and traditionally used to pull carriages and state coaches.
Thoroughbred Racehorse - horse racing is one of HM the Queen's great loves, and she breeds and races thoroughbred horses from her Sandringham Estate.

The back of the decanter features:

Fell pony - kept at Windsor Castle, bred at Hampton Court, it is the only breed she currently still rides.
Windsor Grey - these are kept at the Royal Mews and used to pull carriages and state coaches.
Highland pony - bred and kept at the Balmoral estate.

Each engraved decanter is signed by one of Moser's most talented master engraver, Radek Svoboda, who has been working in Moser for more than 15 years.
